In French, you don’t really say “I miss you.” You say “tu me manques,” which is closer to “you are missing from me.”
I love that. “You are missing from me.” You are a part of me, you are essential to my being. You are like a limb, or an organ, or blood. I cannot function without you.

I’ve done a lot of thinking today. I’ve gone through some ups and some downs. I’m back to being down but I do know this. I am very happy I left Halifax. I would have never been able to get through the next stage of this if I had stayed. The whole place would have been riddled with pain for me. And so for this I am grateful. Now I just have to make it through again.
